
HEGJ HASSA Students take out HIV/AIDS awareness rally
HEGJ staff, Students and members of the HEGJ ASSA organized a rally to make public aware of HIV/AIDS and drug abuse .
The rally started around 10.30 am from the school campus, seme podji and concluded at the marie seme podji. LA HEGJ students and staff used handmade posters, slogans and flex to make the public aware.
The campaign was flagged off by the management, Dr. Rabiu (HOD), staff and members of the HASSA Department. Dr Rabiu (HOD), in his speech said the HASSA movement represent the worldwide symbol of awareness for people living with HIV/AIDS. He said HIV caused AIDS and interfered with the body’s ability to fight infection. If detected early, a regular consultation and proper treatment help in fighting infection and allows a patient to live long.
Dr. Afolabi (Registrar) said the youth must say no to drugs. Student members of the HASSA, under the guidance of Dr. Rabiu and Dr. Afolabi, highlighted the implication of Drugs in mans life.

On Word HEGJ ASSA WEEK on march, All the indigene at semepodji appreciate and acknowledged the awareness programmes as it goes a long way, to make the younger generation aware about the causes, symptoms, tests and treatments for treating HIV infection. The campus authorities organised rallies, poster making and essay writing contests, showed videos, on a customized cap and shirt and pinned red ribbons on students and staff.

The hassa students was HAPPY and charged up with a lot of vibes, and moreover they patrolled and stopped by at their favorite restaurant PETRO PALACE, seme podji, they were ready to make the best day of their campus life. .
